Health Sutra Jowar/Multimillet/ Yellow Jowar Upma Rawa -1/2 cup*
Moong dal (without skin) ½ cup
Water 3 ½ cups
Jeera ½ teaspoon
Ginger grated 1 teaspoon
Onion 1 small (chopped)
Green Chilies 1 to 2
Turmeric powder 1 pinch
Ghee/Oil 1 to 2 Tablespoon
Salt to taste
Vegetables of your choice optional
Wash and soak moong dal for 30minutes
Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker or heavy bottom vessel on low to medium ame. Add jeera, chilies, ginger and fry for 1 minute.
Add onions and sauté till they turn light brown. Add salt and turmeric powder
If using vegetables, add now and sauté for 3-4minutes.
Add Health Sutra Upma rawa and drained moong dal. Pour 3 ½ cups water and cook for 3 whistles on low to medium ame.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
